Juan Corres Benito

Profitraining

2.-6.10.2017 (nicht am 3.10.) I aim to approach this class from my very personal likings, practice, research, habits, needs, wishes, when in the action or thought of a movement training that remains very directed towards the body rather than a concrete creative proposal, or rehearsal development.

Drawing from the release technique tradition, a core idea for the class is softening the muscles and getting in touch with the bone structure. From that place the aim is to access the range of directions within our kinesphere and in the space of the room. From there we also explore other qualities, textures, coordinations.

Out of this ground structure of set exercises and movement material, the class branches out into moments of directed improvisation and self research, to come back into its trunk.

It is a physical navigation through sometimes colliding concepts: dance/ class/ training/ warmup/ professional/ dancer/ body/ work/ movement/ preparation/ habits/ learning/ re-pattern/ skills/ conditioning/ sensing/ stabilise/ destabilise/ inspiration.
