My class begins with a warm up bringing together elements of yoga, improvisation as well as classic modern techniques. I will give set exercises as well as imagination based tasks to create a dynamic balance between the breath, mind and physical body. As we move through the class we will work our way towards longer combinations, which bring together tools or sensations we explored and the pathways that we have already integrated into the body. I also view the class as an opportunity to interact with fellow movers, so contact and improvisation games are often introduced.
