Yannis Adoniou, renowned Greek artist from Athens, is the Artistic advisor at the professional Centre for Dance and Arts, Dansarte in Patras, Greece and a faculty member at the Greek National School of Dance (KSOT). Since 1998 he has been leading the critically acclaimed arts organization, KUNST-STOFF productions. Adoniou was a principal dancer with Alonzo King’s LINES Ballet, the San Fransisco Opera and a regular guest artist across the USA and Europe. In addition to his work with KUNST-STOFF Dance Company, Adoniou has created works for many companies and Universities. His last projects where presented by Marina Abramovic Institute and NEON foundation, the Athens Biennale and the Athens Video Dance Project. Recently traveled to Kuwait, invited by the National Opera of Kuwait to choreograph their production “Memoirs of a Sailor”.
He received his formal dance education at the Greek National Dance School (KSOT) and John Neumeier's Hamburg Ballet School in Germany.
