Contemporary Martial arts Improvisation & Floorwork Technique
The balance between natural instinct and control. During the class, we’ll strive to find the combination in harmony with Yin and Yang. My method is aiming for the awareness to create your movement in unnatural naturalness or natural unnaturalness. This class will enrich the movement of western grounded dancers and make having the consciousness and understanding eastern movement and philosophy. People are capable to experience eastern-western combined movement and the reach the point between traditional and contemporary movements.

Hoyoung Im A Korean actor, choreographer, musician and visualizer. He graduated from Seoul, South Korea, Cinema & Theatre, BA of Art. One of the member of theatre company, ‘@Elephant Manbo’ and an art director of art project group, ‘@UmZikßi’. As an actor Hoyoung has worked with Dong-Hyun Kim, @National Theater Company of Korea and Evgeny Kozlov from DO Theater. Since 2016, he has been working as a solo artist in Berlin and Seoul, also playing as a professional actor and dancer in several productions. Meanwhile, he teaches a class contemporary martial art improvisation and floorwork in those cities. He had trained the Korean martial art, Tae Kwon Do, with certification(a.k.a. Black Belt). He applied the poses of martial art into his improvisation movements and own choreography. Not only Tae Kwon Do, but he also found the steps and techniques from Korean traditional dance and from ashitanga yoga to mix up. more things about Hoyoung Im | 임호영
