Skinner Releasing Technique as a doorway into Instant Composition
10.00 bis 16.00 Uhr im EDEN***** Studio1

Skinner Releasing Technique™ (SRT) is an integrative dance practice that is unique in the way it enhances technical growth and creative process. It uses guided poetic imagery and hands- on partner studies to facilitate deep kinaesthetic experience of movement and a sense of wholeness. SRT stimulates the process of letting go of one’s tensions and holding patterns, and through that, releases new possibilities in how we perceive and how we dance. We experience dynamic and multi-directional alignment and gain more freedom, strength and effortlessness in movement. The proposed material offers specific tools to access depth, courage, integration, presence and freedom in physical practice.

As a follow up of the SRT class in the morning we will investigate in the afternoon how the experienced Releasing principles can inform and inspire the improvisational and compositional work:
When we listen to the relationship of our bodily world with the ground, with the space around us, and with other dancers, we enter a playful dialogue that leads us beyond the familiar. We enter into new and unforeseen possibilities, fostering the performative potential of the intuitive and poetic body in motion.
As we engage in the on-going interplay between inner and outer awareness, we find compelling simplicity and significance in our dancing and composing.

This course is designed for dancers, performers, actors and anyone else, interested in refining and expanding their technical and compositional skills in the context of instant composition as a way to create performance work.
