ABOUT DRUPAD:
A Multi-Performing and Visual Artist & a TedX Speaker/Performer with a World Record of the “Longest 50 Hours MIME MARATHON done by an Individual” in 2018, Drupad (BLIP) is based in Goa and Auroville (INDIA) and is currently a Researcher in MIME at the Sri Aurobindo International Institute of Educational Research in Auroville and the Director of Mooladhvani Institute of Movement & Expression (M.I.M.E.). He is also the founder member of Bharatiya Mookadbhinaya Natya Maha Sangha (Indian Mime Federation) and the MIME groups IMIMEGINATION (all India) & MAUNAM (Auroville). Drupad has amalgamated his knowledge acquired in the fields of Performing Arts, Education alongside Advertising, Hospitality Industry and IT of which he has more than two and half decades of experience, into the Silent Art-form of MIME. He is currently a visiting faculty at various Performing Arts Institutes (Government and Non - Government), Schools, Colleges and Universities.

An excerpt from Drupad’s Paper on Non-verbal Communication & Mime (A comparative study): It is important to provide the learner with the tools required to create ones own grammar and rules by understanding the different aspects of thought, emotion and action of oneself. The Student should be shown how to use Non-Verbal Communication on a day-to-day basis and how we could use this initial know-how to build the blocks of our own Mime Form. What is also important in the process of learning the Silent Art-form of Mime is to show the student the similarity and dichotomy between gesturing with one another and narrating a story to an audience.
