Restorative Yoga
will calm and restore the body, soul and mind
Restorative yoga is about slowing down, is a meditation through yoga postures. Its an opening of the body through passive stretching. We will passthrough mainly lying and sitting asanas, that are designed to help the body and inner organs to deeply stretch, align and balance We often remain five to ten minutes in the same position, doing just a few postures in the duration of an hour. During these long holds of rest, the muscles and mind relax deeply. The feeling from this yoga class is one of surrendering, and letting time as the guide There are props being used such as, bolsters, blocks, pillows, blankets or the wall, so they can support the body instead of the muscles, while we rest and focus on the vibrations of the singing bowls. The vibrations with their different frequencies, will be adding to the relaxation and they will be further massaging the body and inner organs Leaving a restorative class, you will feel like you had an excellent deep tissue massage together with an hour of contemplation and rebalancing of your being Restorative Yoga is a perfect addition to the active living we all share and a great antidote to stress

Mata Sakka
is a dancer- dance educator-movement therapist (Qi Gong, Shiatsu, Yoga, Relaxation and Meditation techniques) and massage therapist living in Berlin and originally from Athens, Greece. Her first contact with Yoga was when she started dancing at the age of nineteen, it was the time of trying to achieve the most absurd and physical impossible yoga asanas and sequences. Later while in New York, studying the Merce Cunnigham technique, she became more involved with the Sivananda Tradition, at the Sivanada centre, NY. Learning Yoga Philosophy together with the basic asana sequences and chanting mantras It was her first realisation that Yoga is a life long practice and a complete way of living While in Berlin, being a member of Sasha Waltz & Guests company, She had regular classes with Ananda Leone, amongst other inspiring Yoga teachers at Yoga studios around Berlin. Two Years ago she started her education and received a Yoga teacher Certification from the Campus Naturalis with some exceptional teachers Bea Fritzsching, Martina Kneis and Ralf Sturm Her most recent Yoga Retreat was with Roland Bauer at Kloster Lenin. "Through all these years of on and off Yoga Practice, I came to notice how much balance-emotional, physical and spiritual- the Yoga practice was offering me. I followed teachers and different styles, arriving to a point of creating my own approach to this wonderful vast field of Yoga knowledge. I teach free style Hatha Yoga in combination with my dance experience, Qigong practice and Shiatsu meridians theory, Restorative Yoga with singing bowls, Yin Yoga and Yoga Nidra for resting the body and mind”.

Leon Korošec
Sound Therapist, Registered Nurse, Massage and Ayurveda Therapist, Qi- Gong and Shiatsu Practitioner
Born and raised in beautiful Slovenia. He arrived in Germany inspired by his profession and his love for music, which became his home since 2011. Currently lives and breathes in Berlin, while studying to become a natural healer with main focus on Ayurveda, Chinese medicine and different areas of meditation.
As a classical ballet dancer and a flute player since young age, music has always been a big part of his life. But the real magic happened when he randomly came across the sound of Tibetan singing bowls through a yoga & meditation workshop he was attending. It was love at first sight. He started to dive deeper into the healing effects of sound, especially singing bowls, gongs and tuning forks. After an advanced practitioners training at Peter Hess Institute in Berlin, he became a certified sound massage therapist. Finally he practices sound therapy and different sound meditations, and makes concerts. Additionally, he is frequently collaborating with other therapists , who are offering yoga, autogenic training, Qi- Gong classes, etc. He is also organising teaching workshops in the same field, regarding healing with sound and singing bowls. In 2015 he started studying at Campus Naturalis Akademie in Berlin, taking courses in Natural Healing, Ayurveda, Qi- Gong, Shiatsu and different meditation techniques, where he also met Mata. He is an Assistant Lecturer on meditation at the Akademie and later this year at the same place, will start a professional study on sound and its effects on physical and mental health. He is accompanying Mata in the Restorative Yoga class with the live sound immersion of 30 different singing bowls (Tibetan, Japanese, Chinese and crystal bowls) and other instruments. This meditation journey is designed to release stress, calms down the spirit and triggers the healing process of the body.
