two Workshops with Eirini Apostolatou and John Simon Wiborn
im EDEN***** Studio1

 with Eirini Apostolatou

24-25-26 MAY, 11.00-15.00

Location: EDEN, Breite Strasse 43, 13187 Berlin, Studio 150.1.

This workshop will involve strong, complex, technical and physical sequences, focusing on the details, clarity and articulation.
We will work on speed, spatial awareness, falling and jumping as physical actions.
Diving in and out of the floor, travelling through it and learning how to use it when we dance, is one big factor which this workshop will encourage the dancer to be highly physical and playful.

In the second half of the workshop, we will work on how to connect the physicalities we created to make our entire body become a medium of expression (by using theatrical expression, voice and techniques). Dancers are challenged to get out of their comfort zone and keep their intention and honesty with the choices being made throughout the session.

Cost of workshop: 80 euros | early bird 70euros (till 18th of May)

with Eirini Apostolatou & John Simon Wiborn

27-28 MAY, 11.00-14.00

Location: EDEN, Breite Strasse 43, 13187 Berlin, Studio 150.1.

Eirini and Simons’ partnering workshop is a seamless combination of dance and acrobatics. We are aiming to explore and develop our physical knowledge and complexity of movements by using the two practices. The primary and practical focus throughout the workshop will be on the delicate meeting point between precision and organicity. In this exchange we learn from each other and we find new ways of using ours and the others body.

The workshop involves strong, complex, technical and physical sequences and tasks, focusing on the details, clarity and articulation. Utilizing spatial awareness and sensitivity, we will work with qualities of movement.
The sequences and tasks presented throughout the workshop will challenge the individual limitation and invite us to go beyond them.

Cost of workshop: 60euros | early bird 50euros (till 20th of May)
