PLAY-GROUND; GROUND,PLAY. From improvisation to composition

The creation of something new is not accomplished by the intellect but by the play instinct, acting from inner necessity. The creative mind plays with the objects it loves.” Carl Jung
We invite dancers, actors, artists from any performing field to enrich their creative skills and discover new ways of research; to explore and enjoy our play-ground.
Our aim is to combine between shape, content and meaning. Projecting our stories through the moving and acting body; and translating the physical qualities into ideas, so each one can refine his or her virtuosity.
The workshop practice will give assignments/exercises, beginning with a trigger, element that will be explored throughout the workshop individually, or in small groups.

Through our mutual creation of the solo: Auf Wiedersehn, we would like to share the way we composed, based on our improvisation practice.
Techniques we will be working with:

* Laban- Yat – Method that analyzes the movement of the performer by the four elements of Laban: space, time, focus and weight.
* Alona Pertz method – Improvisation techniques which work with act and react, through voice, text and movement...
