In this pioneering project the international acclaimed choreographer and dancer Judith Sanchez Ruiz (including Trisha Brown, Sasha Waltz, Deborah Hay, David Zambrano, Steve Coleman, Henry Threadgil) develop with the internationally successful composer and jazz pianist Sebastian Schunke (including Paquito de Rivera, Antonio Sanchez, Nils Wogram, Richie Flores) an entirely new abstract symbiosis of modern dance, improvisation and composition. Judith Sanchez Ruiz and Sebastian Schunke connect diverse influences - she comes from Cuba, the culture that excited Schunke already when he was 13-year-old. Both lived for years in New York before moving to Berlin to find her artistic achievement. It is this trinity: Latin, modern New York, modern Berlin, that the two exceptional artists fascinates and is the origin of their common new creative project.
The origin of Schunke's music was the dance, the traditional rhythms of Latin America, the home of Judith Sanchez Ruiz. Judith's choreography and dance expressiveness are the incarnation of what Schunke wants to achieve as a composer. A stunning profound fusion of three cultures - just wild, abstract raw and original - a very intimate encounter between two exceptional artists!
