Raum-Metamorphosen, Zeitosigkeit, verschrobene Realität und Verwirrungen. AMMO-NITE GIG ist ein Format, in dem internationale Performer und Musiker improvisieren. Kuratiert und organisert von Yuko Kaseki findet diese Reihe seit 10 Jahren unregelmäßig im DOCK 11 statt. Als “special edition” begrüßt Yuko Kaseki einen besonderen Gast aus Japan: die Musikerin Yumiko Tanaka, die Gidayu-Shamisen spielt. Sie ist bekannt als Mitglied von Otomo Yoshihide‘s Projekt Ground Zero und arbeitete auch mit John Zohn und Heiner Göbbels zusammen. Ihre Musik verbindet Tradition und Moderne, West und Ost, Nirvana und Untergrund. Sie arbeitet seit vielen Jahren mit Kazuhisa Uchihashi sowie Yuko Kaseki‘s Kollegin Minako Seki zusammen, die ebenfalls Gäste dieser außergewöhnlichen Zusammenkunft sein werden. As special edition this time, we will have special guest from Japan, Yumiko Tanaka plays Gidayu-Shamisen. As known as a member of Otomo Yoshihide's Ground Zero, as great collaborator of such as John Zohn and Heiner Göbbels. Her music across the border lightly traditions and contemporary, west and east, nirvana and undergrounds. Her long time colleague Kazuhisa Uchihashi and Yuko Kaseki's long time colleague Minako Seki will joins this special meeting.

Yumiko Tanaka received an MA in aesthetics and art history from Tokyo University of the Arts. She studied Gidayu recitation with Gidayu recitation artist and Living National Treasure Komanosuke Takemoto, and became a disciple of the Gidayu-shamisen master, the late Kinshi Nozawa who was also a living national treasure in Bunraku Puppet Theater. Since her debut performance in 1981 in Tokyo, Tanaka has been very active as a Shamisen player and voice performer, not only in the world of traditional Japanese music, but also in contemporary music, new music, and theater. Her credits range from performing with orchestras, such as Tokyo Metropolitan Symphony Orchestra, Saint Louis Symphony Orchestra, and the New York Philharmonic, to collaborating with pioneers in the world of new music, including Akira Sakata, Carl Stone, David Moss, DORAVIDEO, Elliott Sharp, John Russell, John Zorn, Kazuhisa Uchihashi, Kazutoki Umedsu, Keiji Haino, Ned Rothenberg, Otomo Yoshihide, SABU Toyozumi, Seiichi Yamamoto, Tatsuya Yoshida, Tetsuji Akiyama, Tomomi Adachi, and Toshimaru Nakamura, Yuji Takahashi, and others. She performed music theatre 'Hashirigaki' directed by Heiner Goebbels and play with Ondekoza Taiko group, toured all over the world.
KAZUHISA UCHIHASHI composer, electric guitar and daxophone player, music producer, based in Berlin. He experimented thoroughly with many different kinds of machines and sound-devices to expand the expression possibilities of the electric guitar. He also composed music for films, theatre plays, dance. Among them, he has been working with Japanese Theatre group "ISHINHA" for more than 27 years. He played with such improvising musicians as Hans Reichel, Fred Frith, Tom Cora, Ned Rothenberg, Barre Phillips, Kan Tae Fwan, Peter Brotzman, Derek Bailey, Samm Bennett, Steve Beresford, Jon Rose, Zeena Parkins, Elliott Sharp, Eugene Chadbourne, Henry Kaiser, Chris Cutler, Charles Hayward, Han Bennink, Shelley Hirsch, Fred Frith, Gene Coleman, GURU GURU, Franz Hautzinger, Roger Turner, Bobby Previte, Wayne Horvitz, Mani Neumeier, Chiristian Marclay, Mark Feldman, Joelle Leandre, Carl Stone, Burkhard Stangle, Otomo Yoshihide's GROUND ZERO and others. He has been conducting his rock-oriented powerful improvised band "Altered States" for 23years. Uchihashi was invited to hundreds of music festival in the and New Music Action Workshop" for young musicians in many countries. Since 1996 he has also been organizing the New Music festival "BEYOND INNOCENCE" every year until 2007. Uchihashi is also well known to daxophone player.
Minako Seki is a Dancer, Choreographer and Teacher, founder of the Minako Seki Company, Co-Director of Berlin Post School for Physical Theatre-Dance. She belongs to the third generation of Butoh-Dancer (Dance Love Machine, tatoeba-téâtre danse grotesque). Her dance is basedon butoh, physical theatre and comtemporary forms, she named her dance-style “Dancing Bewteen“, the between is giving her endless possibilities to create movements. In her pieces she deals with consciousness and unconsciousness, describes emotional states of being and the limits of reality and illusion. During the last twenty years Minako Seki improved her own body technique and teaching method and combines both in the SEKI METHOD. She is teaching all over the world and is showing her productions in Europe, USA, South- America, Japan.
Yuko Kaseki lives and works as a freelance dancer, choreographer and teacher in Berlin since 1995. Co- founded the dance company cokaseki in 1995 and have been involved in various projects with musicians and visual artist. Solo and ensemble performances, improvisations are performed throughout Europe, Japan, Taiwan, Korea, Canada, Mexico, Uruguay, Argentina, Australia, Malaysia, Thailand and the USA. These works are performance forms, which focus on physical performance that incorporates Butoh, contemporary dance, object design, texts, and soundscape into theme-driven performance scores. Collaboration with inkBoat (SF) since 2001, CAVE (NY), Isak Immanuel/Tableau Stations(SF), Theater Thikwa (Berlin), Salad Theater (Seoul) and others.
