„Eine provozierende Geschichte, genial getanzt“ Aachener Nachrichten
Was passiert im Kopf eines Amokläufers in den Stunden direkt vor der Tat? Tragen gewalttätige Computerspiele wie „Grand Theft Auto“ zum Realitätsverlust bei, so dass das Morden wie ein Videospiel empfunden wird? Ausgangspunkt des Solos von Fabien Prioville, ehemaliger Tänzer beim Wuppertaler Tanztheater und der kanadischen Kompanie La La La Human Steps, bildet die Recherche über einen jungen Japaner, der scheinbar willkürlich eine Gruppe von Menschen mit einem Messer tötete. Fabien Prioville sucht nach einer Bildsprache, die eine abstrahierende Ebene einnimmt und zugleich sinnlich aufgeladen ist. Das Stück entwickelt eine suggestive Perspektive, so als könne das Publikum einen Blick in den Kopf des Täters werfen.

27. and 28. January, Fabien Prioville presents his Solo „Jailbrek Mind”
What kind of process is a person running amok going through just before he is going to kill people? What kind of effects has a computer game like “Grand Theft Auto” on these people and the way they are observing reality? For his solo Fabien Prioville, former dancer of Tanztheater Wuppertal and the company La La La Human Steps, was inspired by an article widely publicized in the press concerning a man suddenly has randomly stabbed dozens of people in Tokyo. Fabien Prioville is searching for an abstract perspective without disregarding the emotional aspects. Which consequences do images with such a suggestive power have on a person’s mind?
„tanz.tausch“ (dance.exchange) - dance and performance festival nrw-berlin - creates spaces for companies from North Rhine-Westphalia to perform in Berlin and to allow a continue presence of North Rhine-artists.
