This class includes some based exercise of Limon technique and from Body Tuning (placement, body awareness), to focus on finding a connection with the floor which can support you as a friend. At this point, we develop movements from ground using the center of gravity to free to move other parts of body that takes you beyond the awareness of body, strength, space
and energy.

This class is designed to bring awareness to our skeletal and joint systems, release with direction, weight and momentum.I start my class with improvisation and simple floor exercises with focus on how to prepare the body to move with more clarity and efficiency. We explore small phrases that shift in force and impulse that gives us room to play with off center, dimensions and length through the body.
My teaching is influenced by release technique, mainly the Alexander Technique and the Feldenkrais method. I guide through floor exercises to build up awareness of the skeletal structure and create ease around the joints. In an organic strive upward we will investigate movement with help from the floor, the room and bodyweight. Our goal is to bring attention to our patterns, to create an alert and grounded dancer aware of the architecture of the body.
The class will end with a complex and vigorous phrase that will encourage the dancer to take risk by challenge impulse, time and gravity, as well as deepen our own investigation.www.jessicaloof.com

His modern/contemporary class is focused on the transport of centre of gravity. This central source is shifted or counterbalanced through movements of the body, which are carried out by a multiple energy flow in endless circular paths, instead of movements based on the form factor. The key is freeing up the body from its own tradition or what it has been accustomed to. In addition, detailed isolation within the movement is also created. Using this technique, the exercises are carried out with clear rhythm, musicality and usage of space. It begins with warm-up/floor exercises and develops towards a dance combination. There is noticeable influence from GYROTONIC® methodology. GYROTONIC® is registered trademarks of Gyrotonic Sales Corp. and is used with their permission.
